Head coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Fatai Amoo has expressed his delight with the scored draw his team recorded against Rangers International in the matchday 28 in the Nigeria Professional Footbal League, and describing it as million points score.

The Oluyole Warriors held the NPFL champions to 1-1 draw in Sunday’s clash at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

Attacking midfielder, Godwin Aguda scored the match opener for the Coal City side in the 29th minute while Abu Azeez even scores for the Ibadan landlords in the 76th minute in the hotly contested encounter.

Amoo said the away draw at Rangers is certain to propel his side to further quality performance in the remaining matches on the calendar.

“Every away point is quite important and considering the opposition as well as our position on the league table it’s a million point.

“Of course, the feeling is positive and a reward of the steady improvement in our games especially in the last home matches. The away draw is going to bring a renewed confidence and self believe in the team in other matches on the calendar.

“Rangers played well and did everything right to win the clash but my boys stood their ground, they did well and actually distinguished themselves,” Amoo said.

Speaking further, the former Sunshine Stars manager salutes the Enugu fans for their sportsmanship for applauding 3SC after the game and he hope the result would motivate the team.

“Even the home fans stood up to applaud us after the game wondering why we are at the porous position.

“I think the result is mostly likely to motivate and propel us not to drop any further points as well as go away to grab more points.

“This is a million point and we are encouraged to fight harder to come out from the doldrums,” he added.

The draw at Enugu Rangers has taken 3SC total earnings to 33 points from possible 84 in the 28-week old top-flight.
