The Rauf-Aregbesola-led government in Osun State has publicly confirmed the receipt of N6.314 billion being part of the second tranche of Paris Club refunds being made available to states in Nigeria.
The government, through a special release from Semiu Okanlawon, the Director, Bureau of Communication & Strategy in the Governor’s Office also revealed that the money was paid into the state’s coffers on Monday, July 17, 2017.
Okanlawon stressed further “In line with our government’s promise to utilize the resources of this state in the best interest of our people, we hereby restate our commitment to this promise as we begin shortly transparent deployment on our commitments to the concerned stakeholders”.
