Lagos businessman, Sina Peller who is bankrolling a grassroots soccer competition in memory of his late dad has pledged support to the youths of Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State.
The son of that great magician, Professor Peller made the pledge while addressing the crowd that witnessed the opening ceremony of Peller Unity Cup held over the weekend at the Oyo State NYSC orientation camp in  Iseyin.
The money spinning tourney was organized in collaboration with the Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports and Oyo State Football Association with 20 grassroots teams from Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State where the late magician hailed from are participating.
The socialite, during the ceremony laid the foundation of a multimillion naira hostel building which he promised to build for the comfort of coppers within a short time. He equally promised to sign talented singers into his record label.
Meanwhile, Itesiwaju Rangers defeated Iwajowa Athletics by 4-0 as Itesiwaju Lions spanked Iwajowa Diamonds with 2 goals to nil, while Saki West Blues demolished Atisbo Royals by 5-0. Saki West Rovers also mauled Atibo Eagles with a 2-0 win.
Oorelope City secured a slim 2-1 victory over Saki East Base as Oorelope Gunners and Saki East United settled for goalless draw, Iseyin City beat Kajola Blues by 2-0 and Irepo Lions and Olorunsogo Warriors also played a goalless draw in the first round of matches played across different centers at Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State according to Comrade Wale Ayangbile the Local Organising Committee Chairman of the tournament.
