Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho’s future in the English Premier League remains unresolved as his transfer to the Leicester City is being delay because of dispute.
Iheanacho, who is being tagged as the most promising African talent in England, is now in dilemma following the rift between his intermediaries First Eleven Management and Stellar Group.
Contrary to speculations in the media, West Ham United, who first showed interest in the Manchester City forward, pulled the plug on the signing because the legal issue was not yet addressed.
City manager Pep Guardiola has backtracked on his earlier statement and has now revealed that the Nigerian may remain at the Etihad Stadium at the close of the transfer window.
”I think Kelechi leaves us in favour of Leicester. I think so, but I do not want to say anything wrong either.”
”We will see. If that does not happen, he will be part of the group,” Guardiola stated.
The 2017-2018 campaign is a World Cup season and Iheanacho is worried that he won’t get playing opportunities if he remains at Manchester City.
