ICT: Over 1,000 Graduates From Oyo To Be Trained By Federal Communication Ministry

Over one thousand graduates from Oyo State are to benefit from a training programme in Information communication technology through the Federal ministry of communication before the end of this year.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, shortly after a visit to the State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ibadan where he had gone to donate two buses.

The Minister posited that the presentation of the two buses to the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is part of his contribution to the continued functioning of the party in the state.

Barrister Shittu noted that there were lots of job opportunities in the ICT sector, hence the need to train and empower the teeming youths to become ICT compliant.

Mr Shittu also reiterated that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration would not deviate from its campaign promises, noting that the desired change needed to reposition the nation’s economy would be achieved.

While commissioning boreholes across some local government areas in Ibadan, Barrister Adebayo Shittu stressed that he would not relent in giving back to the people by contributing to socio infrastructural development of Oyo state.

The areas where the boreholes were commissioned included: Popoyemoja, Odo Oba, Aremo Lanase, Agbowo Express, Aba Alfa and Olopometa Express.
