The young man who wishes to contest using the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has promised to give 40 per cent of political appointments to the women if elected as governor.
He made the pledge on Tuesday at the APC secretariat in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, where he officially declared his intention to participate in next year’s governorship election in Ekiti.
His father, Evangelist Olumilua was also present at the event.
The younger Olumilua said he would run his administration on an eight-point agenda to bring sustainable development to the state.
He said women would be empowered under his leadership as four out of 10 appointments would go to them.
The APC Deputy Chairman in the state, Mrs. Kemisola Olaleye, said Olumilua was the 21st aspirant to officially inform the state executive committee of their intention to join the governorship race.
