750 People Benefit From Hon. Ige’s Free Health, Surgery Programme

About 750 People living in Ibadan South East Local Government and its environs have benefited from a free health and surgery programme sponsored by a Lawmaker representing Ibadan South East Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Ademola Akeem Ige.

The two day free health and surgery programme which was initiated by Hon. Ige in collaboration with Solution Providers Multi Concept Resources Limited was aimed at bringing health care delivery to the downtrodden people at the grassroot level.

The said programme brought political leaders, eminent personalities and stakeholders in the health sector together to discuss on measures needed to be taken by the people in order to improve their health status.

In his lecture, the leader of the team, Solution Provider Multi Concept Resources Limited, Dr Oluyemi Babalola emphasized the need for the people to go on regular medical checkup and why they should always eat nutritious food all the time as recommended by their doctors in order to prevent diabetes and hypertension.

While flagging off the programme, the Commissioner for Health in Oyo State, Dr Popoola Azeez Adeduntan lauded Hon. Ige for his effort at improving the health of the people in his constituency area, stressing that people should always maintain cleanliness of their environment.

Earlier in his welcome address, the initiator of the programme, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige promised to continue to do everything within his power to alleviate the suffering of the people he is representing irrespective of the economic challenges confronting the country.

In their separate remarks at the occasion, a chieftain of the Accord in Oyo State, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, Chairman House Committee on Health, Hon. Okunlola Silas and other Accord leaders in the State commended Hon. Ige for his passion for ensuring that the health of the people in his constituency improved drastically .

According to Senator Lanlehin, “I think what Hon. Ige is doing is very commendable. I am very glad and honoured to be invited and what I’ve seen so far is a testimony to his very sterling qualities. I pray to God Almighty to continue to uplift him so that he will continue to give service to the people of the State particularly the people of his constituency.”

During the two day free health and surgery programme that ended during the week, the beneficiaries were treated and given free drugs on fibroid, diabetes, cataract, asthma, cancer, hernia, hypertension and HIV/AIDs.
