Behold, Akeredolu Hands Out Portfolios To New Commissioners

Shortly after swearing in his new Commissioners and Special Advisers, the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has given out portfolios to them.

The governor on Wednesday swore in the 18 new commissioner, each of whom was picked from the 18 local government areas of the state, but he did not announced their portfolios.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde on Thursday, the governor listed the commissioners and their portfolios as follows; Taofiq Abdulsalam (Ministry of Works and Infrastructure),  Mr. Rasheed Badmus (Ministry of Natural Resources), Prince Solagbade Amodeni (Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development), Otunba Adegboyega Adefarati (Ministry of Agriculture), Mr. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye (Ministry of Youth & Sport Development) and Mrs. Omowumi Olatunji-Edet (Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development)

According to the statement, others are: Mr. Donald Ojogo (Lands and Housing), Mr. Yemi Olowolabi   (Ministry of Information and Orientation), Dr. Wahab Adegbenro (Ministry of Health),  Mr. Funso Esan (Ministry of Environment), Mr. Wale Akinterinwa (Ministry of Finance), and Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan  (Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget)

The remaining commmissioners and the portfolio included : Alhaji Olurimisi Ismala (Ministry of Culture and Tourism),  Mr. Femi Agagu (Ministry of Education, Science and Technology), Prof. Bayonle Ademodi  (Ministry of Regional Integration and Special Duties), Mrs. Lola Fagbemi (Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs), Otunba Timilehin Adelegbe (Ministry of Commerce and Industries) and  Kola Olawoye ( Ministry of Justice).

The governor had earlier insisted that the new commissioners were the best hands he could work with.

He also told the new appointees to always think of what they can do to uplift the lives of the people of the state.
