The government of Osun State has never, at any time, taken the welfare of veteran comedian, Moses Olaiya Adejumo, Baba Sala, for granted and has been taking care of him and his family.

This revelation was made to PMParrot by a very senior member of the Rauf Aregbesola-government in the state on Thursday morning.

It was also learnt that the popular actor is a man, whose welfare is important to the Ilesa-born governor of the state.

Baba Sala, Wednesday, was reported to have solicited for financial support from well-meaning Nigerians for him to be able to take care of his health.

The announcement by the actor was said to have been made at a briefing held on his biography due for presentation on December 4, 2017.

The actor was reported to have spoken with difficulty because of his condition of health.

However, PMParrot’s source who preferred anonymity informed: “Baba Sala has no reason to surfer because his case is top priority with Mr Governor.

“In addition to being a fellow Ijesaman, Aregbesola sees him as a very important national treasure. In fact, he says it every time that the State of Osun is lucky to have produced Baba Sala”.

Our source then went ahead to make a very salient revelation about how Osun State has been supporting Baba Sala.

His words “Mr Governor gave a very lucrative job to Muyiwa Adejumo, one of the sons of the great actor.

“The job was given to him sometime in 2010. The job has to do with the production of a documentary on Osun State called ‘Osun A Dara’ for both television and radio. He gets over one million for this every month.

“The obvious reason why Mr Governor approved of this for Muyiwa is for him to be able to take care of his father. Aregbesola does not joke with Baba Sala”, submitted our source.

Another unconfirmed source equally told our reporters in Osogbo that Governor Aregbesola has sponsored the ace comedian’s medical trip abroad twice before now.

Baba Sala’s journey to depression started when his ‘Orun Mooru’ film production which he heavily invested on was pirated in the 80s.
