Cleric Admonishes On Humility As Ekiti Speaker’s Son Marries

The Dean of the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Okesa, Ado-Ekiti, Reverend Francis Bankole, has charged families to imbibe the spirit of humility in other to eschew family squabbles and live in peace.

The cleric gave the charge in a sermon he delivered at the wedding of the son of the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Right Honourable (Pastor) Kola Oluwawole, Segun, and his wife Oluwaseun at the cathedral on Saturday.

According to a statement by Oluwawole’s Special Assistant (Media), Stephen Gbadamosi, in Ado-Ekiti, on Saturday, the cleric took his words of admonitions from the book of Colossian, Chapter Three, saying ability for husbands and wives to bear to bear with each other “and forgive whatever grievances you may have against each other is the way to live in peace.”

Reverend Bankole added that; “God is love. Always humble yourselves.

Both of you should be gentle, humble and accept one another they way you are, since both of you are not from the same parents. Forgive one another. Put Christ first”

The wedding was witnessed by crème of the society, including Governor Ayodele Fayose and his deputy, Professor Kolapo Olusola.
