Nigeria’s Super Eagles and 31 other national teams will know their group stage opponents tomorrow as FIFA stages the World Cup draws in Moscow.

Without question for the Super Eagles, the eyes of the footballing world will be on the Russian capital as the competing nations discover their opponents.

Expectations in Nigeria include being grouped along with Lionel Messi’s Argentina, who they met in the 1994 World Cup.

Millions of football fans will watch with baited breath, waiting to map out their favourite team’s path through the tournament.

Meanwhile, Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick has maintained he is open to any group the Super Eagles will be drawn in.

Pinnick, who will lead a nine-man delegation from Nigeria to the draw, said “Any team that qualifies for the World Cup is potentially capable of winning the World Cup.

“To me, we would just pray and work hard and keep our face off the people in our group. There is no weak team among the teams that qualified.

“If countries like the United States, Holland, Chile, Italy did not qualify, then we must understand that the dynamics of football has changed.”
