Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has admitted that he’s not fully satisfied with goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi, Francis Uzoho and Dele Ajiboye ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

The former Bayern Munich defender will keenly monitor the performance of Enyimba shot-stopper Ezenwa when the African Nations Championship begins next month in Morocco.

”It has been fantastic to qualify in this difficult group with Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia. To have a shot at the World Cup would be exceptional. I prepare myself as best as I can, personally,” Rohr said to football365.fr.

”Every detail counts in the preparation and the choice of the players. We found young people at certain positions. The last challenge is to find a goalkeeper who satisfies us fully.

”We are working with my goalkeeper coach, Enrico Pionetti. CHAN will be important to take stock.

”Ikechukwu Ezenwa will participate, under the direction of my assistant Salisu Yusuf. I will follow things closely.”

The young Fortuna Dusseldorf goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is believed to be on the radar of Gernot Rohr, with a view to call-up to the national team for their next game against Poland on March 23, 2018.
