Nigeria will make her Ninth appearance in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup after the Falconets demolished South Africa’s Basetsana 8-0 on aggregate.

The Falconets had won the first leg in Polokwane 2-0 and pounded the South Africans 6-0 in the return-leg at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday.

Nigerian Forward, Rasheedat Ajibade scored a brace on the day, taking her goals tally to 10 in the qualifiers – the most scored by any player in the qualifiers.

Chris Danjuma’s ladies were already 5-0 up in the first half and despite a 71st minute red card to Gift Monday, the South Africans had very little fight left in them.

The 9th edition of the U20 Women’s World Cup will be hosted by France later this year will hold from 5-24 August and Both Nigeria and Ghan will fly the continent’s flag.

In previous editions, Nigeria had finished as runners-up twice – in 2010 and 2014.
