ADO Den Haag defender, Tyronne Ebuehi has declared that his biggest dream is to be part of the Super Eagles squad at the 2018 World Cup, and this contributed to his decision to remain at the Eredivisie club at the close of the winter transfer market despite interest from Benfica.

If the fullback is summoned for the upcoming friendlies against Poland and Serbia, it means he is in the plans of manager Gernot Rohr and stands a very good chance of making Nigeria’s provisional World Cup roster when it is announced by May 14.

”For me, the most important thing is to keep making minutes. Going to such a club means a new adventure and you do not know whether you’re going to make minutes,” Ebuehi explained to FCupdate.nl.

”Here I get trust from the club, the trainer and the players. If I keep playing here, I can hopefully go to the World Cup and nice things can come.”

On his chances of being on the plane to Russia, Ebuehi stated : ”I do not have to act too fast, otherwise it can also be a disappointment, I feel good about it, and of course I dream about it, it’s close and in terms of football, the World Cup is the biggest stage in the world. I can go with it, it’s a dream come true, maybe the biggest one.”

Tyronne Ebuehi who has a Nigerian father and Dutch mother will become cap-tied to the Super Eagles if he features for the three-time African champions at the 2018 World Cup.
