Tears flew freely as one of the very best in the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Emmanuel Olubunmi Akinbayo, DSS, psc, ndc, M.Sc, M.Phil, was buried in his home town of Igbara Oke in Ondo State on Friday, February 23, 2018.
The final burial rites were conducted for the deceased at the St Paul’s Anglican Church, Obada, in the sleepy Ondo State town and was witnessed by the very senior Nigerian Military officers.
Before his death, he served Nigeria in several capacities. He was Commander, 571 NAF Detachment in Ibadan and was also Commander, 553 BSG Enugu before he died.
The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Olalekan Alli.
Commodore Akinbayo, who was born on September 13, 1965 left a wife, Mrs Oluranti Akinbayo and three boys – Olawunmi, Akintomiwa and Oluwafeyisetan.
