Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr is not getting carried away with the win against Poland on Friday and the German Technical Adviser has admitted his players were lucky to get the victory in Wroclaw.
Nigeria’s victory against Poland was the second time the Super Eagles had humbled a top ranked team since qualifying for the World Cup in Russia, but Rohr has sued for cautious expectations of his team.
Victor Moses netted a 61st minute penalty to guide the Eagles to yet another high profile win on the road to Russia 2018.
Speaking after the game, Rohr said, “We were lucky to have won this game against a very solid Polish side.
“They created some big opportunities to score and were dangerous from set pieces that we found difficult to cope with but I praise my team for their victory,” the gaffer was quoted in the post match presser.
Speaking further, Rohr insists the team is young and still has the potential to improve but will not consider Nigeria as having a bright chance at the FIFA World Cup this summer.
