The need for all Nigerians to continue to be tolerant of one another has been stressed by a  a renowned businessman and governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State in the 2019 general election, Dr. Olusola Ayandele.

Dr Ayandele also enjoined them to embrace peace and tolerance regardless of their differences to assist the cause of nationhood.

In a special Easter celebrations message which was contained in a statement he personally issued and made available to journalists in Ibadan at the weekend, Dr. Ayandele observed that the festive period underscores the lessons embedded in the life, cruxification and resurrection of Jesus Christ as a symbol humility, love and endurance.

“A critical appraisal of the life and gospel of Christ would one in no doubt of the need to love fellow human beings, tolerate others and preach peace at all times without being influenced by personal emotion or primordial sentiments. Nigeria is a country of diversity but this could be managed in such a way that we could use the same diversity to achieve greatness as a people.

“To this end, it becomes imperative to prevail on those responsible for the incessant cases of wanton killings and mindless violence in parts of the country to desist from such dastardly acts before the wrath of God would descend on them. It is time we all supported the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to channel a new course for Nigeria and restore her lost glory in all ramifications.”

“Meanwhile, all security agencies and other stakeholders must go all out to arrest the current spate of terror attacks, herders killings, kidnappings, rape among other criminal activities in the land as Nigerians deserve rights to life as well as rights to live peacefully in any parts of the country as they so wish and also rights to choose a religion or political party of their choice without any fear of harassment or intimidation.” Ayandele stated.

The Ibarapa-born entrepreneur, however, rejoiced with the governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, his wife- Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, all traditional rulers, leaders and member of the APC, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Christian bodies as well as workers in all sectors, senior citizens, youths and students across the state on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebrations praying God to make everyone witness many more of it.
