Hon Dapo Lam Builds, Commissions More Public Classrooms

In fulfillment of his electioneering campaign promises, Hon. Adedapo Lam Adesina, representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja, has commissioned a newly renovated block of two classrooms with two staff offices.

The commissioning, which took place at the premises of the school at Anirin, Eleta Ibadan, witnessed the presence of All Progressives Congress (APC) representatives at the state, Local government and ward levels, as well as representatives from Nigeria the Union of Teachers (NUT), All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) and Association of Primary Headteachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East chapters.

In his address, Omo Oloore explained that education is the bedrock of any development that will happen to any society, and its development was part of promises made during the 2015 electioneering campaign.

Hon. Dapo Lam stated that as a true son of an educationist and former Governor in the state, he has been doing a lot to ensure that the promises made to develop education are fulfilled through his Omo Oloore Educational Development Scheme.

Omo Oloore opined that as part of efforts to fulfill the promises, he has organized two editions of Omo Oloore Quiz and Debate Competitions for all schools (private and secondary) for both secondary and primary in the constituency, with its third edition underway and not quite long, he distributed writing materials and school bags for over 5000 thousand students with in the constituency.

Also, to maintain balance between academics and sports, Hon. Dapo Lam through his Omo Oloore Sports Development Scheme has supported several schools both in cash and in kind in their various Inter-House Sports Competitions to discover promising talents that will lift the glory of the constituency and state at national and international tournaments.

While listing other developmental programmes earmarked for the constituency, Omo Oloore reiterated that to ensure his commitment towards safety of lives and properties of the people of Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, plans have been concluded for the installation of Automatic Fire Extinguishing Balls across all markets in the constituency to address the issues of incessant fire outbreaks.

The young and vibrant lawmaker assured the people of the constituency that in the next four months the constituency will experience and witness more quality representation as many programmes such as distribution of Sports Equipment to all Football Sports Clubs across the constituency, commission of Mini Stadium at Oke’Badan High School and Empowerment Programme for all will be rolled out.

In their goodwill messages, Chairman, All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Chief Akin Oke, who was represented by the party State Secretary, Alhaji Mojeed Olaoya, Dr. Kola Balogun, and APC Chairmen in Ibadan South East and Ibadan North East Local Governments, Engr. Kayode Arowolo and Hon. Rasaq Ekundayo commended Omo Oloore for following the footpath of the his late father, Alhaji Lam in the area of developing education.

They acknowledged the efforts of Hon. Dapo Lam for the promotion of image and reputation of the party through his developmental agenda. The party leaders promised their support for Omo Oloore in his political aspiration.

In his welcome address, ANCOPSS Chairman, Ibadan South East Local Government, Elder Gbadebo Akinlolu applauded Hon. Adedapo Lam Adesina for keying into the education reform agenda of the State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, stated that Omo Oloore has been contributing immensely to support development of education in the state.

While promising the support of the principals and teachers in the constituency, Elder Akinlolu urged Hon. Dapo Lam to extend his philanthropic gesture to the secondary section.

Also present at the occasion were caretaker Chairman, Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Teslim Ajimobi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Shakrullahi Fajimi, Hon. Olu Abiola, Hon. Okiki Adebolu and Community Development Council (CDC) Chairmen and members, Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East chapters.
