2018 Commonwealth Games: How Quadri Got Into Men’s T/Tennis Singles Final

Nigeria’s top ranked table tennis star, Aruna Quadri has qualified for the men’s singles table tennis final at the ongoing Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Aruna defeated Sharath Achanta from India in four straight sets 12-10, 11-9, 11-9, 11-7.

The 29 year old will face Ning Gao from Singapore in the final billed for Sunday.

Samuel Walker from England will battle Achanta from India in the bronze medal match.

Aruna defeated defeated Xue Jie Pang from Singapore 4-1 (11-5,8-11, 11-5,11-5,12-10)  in the men’s singles Round of 16.

Aruna also brushed aside Harmeet Desai from India in the four straight sets in the Quarter-finals of the competition on Friday.
