Amosun’s Request For Harmonised Revenue Bill Received By Ogun Assembly

The receipt of Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s correspondence proposing a bill to harmonised revenue and other charges collect-able by all revenue generating agencies in the State has been acknowledged by the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon Suraju Ishola Adekunbi, who read the governor’s letter dated 10th April, 2018 today at the plenary said the governor’s request was reached at the tenth meeting of the State Executive Council held on the 5th March, 2018

“I forward herewith a Bill for a law to Harmonise Revenue and other Charges Collectable by all the Revenue Generating Agencies in Ogun State, as approved at the Tenth Meeting of the Executive Council of Ogun State held on the 5th March, 2018 for the kind consideration and passage of the House of Assembly”, the letter partly reads.

In another development, the Assembly has congratulated Miss Oluwatobiloba Amusan on her recent feat recorded at the just concluded Commonwealth 100m Hurdles Games held in Gold Coast, Australia, where she won Nigeria’s second gold medal at the tournament.

The Speaker, showered encomium on the Ogun State born -sprinter, who is an alumnus of Our Lady of Apostles, Ijebu-Ode, while responding to the submission of the Minority Leader, Olawale Alausa under Personal Explanation, adding that Amusan’s success was an attestation that the State indigenes were achievers in their various endeavours across the globe.

Earlier, Alausa who sought for State recognition for the athlete, said she had through her commitment and uncommon zeal for sports positioned Ijebu-Ode and the State on the global reckoning.
