EFCC Boss Charges Students To Enlist As Change Agents

Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has charged Nigerian students to become agents of change in the fight against corruption and economic and financial crimes.

The Acting Chairman stated this today, April 30, 2018 during a sensitization and enlightenment campaign at Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure, Ondo State.

Magu who was represented by Williams Oseghale, Head of Public Affairs Directorate, Benin Zonal Office urged the students to shun any act of criminality which can truncate their dreams. “Don’t allow anybody to use you to commit crime especially internet fraud or yahoo yahoo. Don’t engage in it, don’t do it because they are are serious offences “.

He said many young persons were in jail as a result of their participants in internet fraud and other forms of economic and financial crimes. “Ignorance is not an excuse, the law does not recognize I didn’t know, so stay away from it,” he said.

He urged the students to enlist as change agent in the fight against corruption in the country. Hear him, “You can become an agent of change wherever you are by doing the right thing, by being discipline, transparent and accountable. You can become a good example for others to follow. By doing so, Nigeria will become what you want it to be in the near future.”.

Olawale Olajide, registrar of the school and Coordinator of School Clubs including EFCC Integrity Club thanked the Commission for the event which he described as very educative, informative and rewarding.
