Kidnap Of Ekiti PDP FinSec Condemnable – Speaker Kola Oluwawole

Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Right Honourable (Pastor) Kola Oluwawole, has condemned the kidnap of the financial secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Kayode Oni, urging the perpetrators to release the man forthwith.

Oluwawole, in a statement by his Special Assistant on media, Stephen Gbadamosi, said the kidnap was a reinforcement of the claim that security of Nigerians had be greatly compromised under the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in the country.

Pastor Oluwawole also appealed to the kidnappers to release the PDP chieftain, maintain that “his family members have been put under undue stress by the Act”.

The Speaker said, “this is uncalled for. The family of the man has been put under undue stress. I am appealing to his abductors to release him now.

“This is a reinforcement of the claims that the security of lives and property has been compromised under the present Federal Government. How can we continue to live under this excruciating condition?

“That the man is a financial secretary of our party does not indicate that he has such money these people are asking for. We urge them to consider his children and other family members and release him forthwith.”

The Speaker prayed that God would touch the heart of the kidnappers and release Ọni to his family.
