One of the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Oyo State, Senator Ayoade Adeseun has again vowed to play it tough with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission(EFCC), over the alleged six hundred and fifty million naira charge against him.

The former Oyo central senator, Senator Ayo Adeseun said the money was sent to Oyo State by the national secretariat of his political party (PDP) to run election matters in the state in the 2015 general election.

He said the money which was from the donation made to the party by interested donors and contributions of political office holders from the party was indeed spent by the party in the state.

Speaking during a private Radio station programme in Ibadan, Adeseun said that he (Adeseun) and other two members of the party, Messrs Jumoke Akinjide, who was then a(FCT) Minister and the party Chairman in the state, Alhaji Yinka Taiwo distributed the money among members from different parts of the state for the party agents use to coordinate logistics during the election.

He wondered how the EFCC and their masters are now running after them, years after the election had been conducted, over the money that did not belong to the Federal government but to the Peoples Democratic Party.

Adeseun, on ‘Dendeloro’, a Yoruba pogramme on Fresh FM Radio, Ibadan, said he is ready to defend his name and his integrity anywhere, anyday.
