Nigerians have been charged to stop unnecessary criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration as this is a major source of distraction for him.
Making the charge in Ibadan, a leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Alhaji Rahman Jayeola Bankole , said that the administration of President Buhari in Nigeria is just three years old, and three years is not all enough to turn round the country, whose resources had been battered and ravaged by the previous military government and the sixteen years of democratic rule by the People Democratic Party (PDP).
He said Nigerians want President Buhari to change everything in the country over night but they should add to their patience and cooperate with him to enhance the success of their dream.
Said he “Buhari is never an angel and those not posses magic wound to turn the country to mecca of Africa, over night”.
He stated further that Nigerians even went ahead of criticizing Buhari for going abroad for medical attention, forgetting that he has the constitutional right to take care of his health.
He stressed that there is no constitutional provision that says that the President should not go overseas to seek treatment after all health is wealth.
Speaking on the lingering crisis that followed the APC congresses and the large number of contestants for the state and other political offices in APC, the party chieftain said it is one of the beauties of democracy adding that it shows how democratic is APC.
He added that crises will soon be over and that the members will soon recon ciliate to strategise for the general election.
He affirmed that APC in Nigeria is one and it will continue to be one.
He enjoined Nigerians not to waste their votes during the year 2019 general election and continue to love and vote for APC.
