South West Ready To Host First Yoruba Musical/Comedy Show

A new dawn is about to set into the entertainment industry in Nigeria as arrangements are being put in place to host a unique Yoruba stand-up comedy show with full musical entertainment tagged ‘Feyin E’ in the South Western part of Nigeria.

The show, ‘Feyin E’ according to the spokesperson of the organizers, Seyi Akerele is going to be a full performance in the Yoruba indigenous language, he added that it is part of efforts to promote culture and traditions of Yoruba tribe.

His words, “Feyin E is a Yoruba music and comedy show that was created to promote Yoruba indigenous language, with the hope of ensuring that Yoruba comedy stands out in the entertainment world.

“Feyin E is also another platform created for individuals and families who will be prospective audience on that day to have fun at the highest level.”

Mr. Akerele also noted that the show is expected to go round the entire South Western part of the country, with its first edition coming up in Ibadan while the Osogbo, the Osun State capital will be the next bus stop for the show.

“The show, Feyin E is coming up in Ibadan on Sunday, August 19 at Mauvre 21 Event Centre, Ring Road with a lot of prominent artists billed to grace the show. Some of them are Olalomi Amole, Komolafe Olaiya, Taiwo Obama, Seyi Law, Shete, Remote Control and a host of others. Musicians like Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Taye Adebisi Currency as well as Small Doctor will also attend the show.

“We restricted the number of musical artists to only Yoruba because we want to focus our attention on the main objective of the show which is to promote culture and tradition of the Yoruba people. Our expectation for the people, families and individuals on that day is to have great fun, it means it is going to be a rib-cracking with good music to go along, it will be hilarious all the way on that day,” Seyi Akerele submitted.
