The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1 has urged Muslim faithful not to allow the end of  the glorious month of Ramadan deter them from doing good works.

In his sallah message to the people of Ibadan land through his spokesman, Adeola Oloko, the first class monarch noted that Ramadan teaches abstinence, not only from food and drinks in broad daylight but also from willful commission of sins at all times.

According to him, in the month of Ramadan, people tend to share and care more with each other, attending and listening to lectures that deepen our understanding and relationship with Almighty Allah.

Said he “Good works should not begin and end in the holy month of Ramadan. It should be an everyday affair.”

The Olubadan who is also full of praises to non-Muslims, particularly the Christians for supporting and sponsoring Ramadan programmes out of respect for their Muslim brothers noted that such gesture must not go unmentioned in our determination to curb religious extremism. He appealed to all Nigerians to celebrate in peace and live in harmony.

He prayed for the understanding and wisdom of God to rest upon the nation’s President, Muhammadu Buhari and indeed all our leaders at various levels of government.
