One of Africa’s iconic musicians, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 de Ultimate) has been speaking about why he paid a visit to the Presidential Villa in Abuja to see President Muhammadu Buhari.
The popular musician, in a chat with PMParrot said he paid a visit to the seat of power on June 28 to register his support for Nigeria’s number one man and to further encourage him to continue his anti corruption war.
K1 said he is convinced that Buhari needs to run for a second term in office so that the present anti-graft crusade can achieve more results.
Said the musician “those against Buhari’s second term ambition are those with skeletons in their cupboards. If you are a professional and you are upright, you will not have anything to worry about Buhari’s second coming.
“Yes, there may be one or two issues yet to be attended to by the present government under our President, he is working hard to sort them out.
“One thing I will like to tell our people is that Buhari and those helping him in government are human too. Our duty is to point their attention to their short comings. Nigeria was ruled for 16 years by those who ran the economy aground. Three years cannot clear the mess of 16 years. It is simple logic.
“I will like to use this opportunity to appeal to all to continue to cooperate with the Buhari government. We should not forget him in our prayers too. By doing this, we will be practically demonstrating that we sincerely want progress for the country.”
