Former member of Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Akinyele II State Constituency, Hon. Murphy Adigun Hammed has expressed that the present ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State will lose the state in 2019.
Hon. Murphy, who recently decamped to Africa Democratic Party (ADC) disclosed this on Thursday, July 5, 2018, while featuring on a popular radio programme on Fresh FM Radio Station in Ibadan alongside Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete, Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Youth and Sports.
The former Chief Whip in the Oyo State House of Assembly explained that it would be very difficult for APC to win the 2019 election because of the crisis and disagreement rocking the party and among the leaders and members.
“I don’t know how they want to win the state when there is no security in the Country, security should be a paramount issue” he said.
He also spoke about the funds retrieved from the late Head of State, General Sanni Abacha’s regime submitting that it should be invested on security and power supply for the use of the people of the country.
On the part of the member of APC, Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete, in his own words contradicted the opinion of Murphy that “APC will win the imminent election in 2019”.He further reiterated that there are more than capable people who are still going to join the party.
Hon. Repete in his words, added that “religion and politics are the best tools to destroy the country easily. Most of the politicians we have in Nigeria are self-centered; they don’t mind destroying the whole country to get what they want”.
