Super Eagles striker, Henry Onyekuru has decided to join Turkish side, Galatasaray after he was denied a work permit to play for English Premier League side Everton.

Onyekuru was expected to rejoin Everton this summer ahead of the new campaign but did not join the Toffees’ squad that flew out of England to Austria for pre-season on Sunday due to the club’s inability to secure a permit for the 20 year old petit striker.

The former RSC Anderlecht and Eupen striker according to Turkish Football has passed his medicals at Turkish side, Galatasaray with a loan deal set to be announced once both parties agree the financial terms.

The Nigeria international scored nine goals in 19 league appearances for Anderlecht during his loan spell but returned to Everton in January this year due to an injury which ruled him out for several months and subsequently, the World Cup.

Onyekuru was offered to Besiktas and Fenerbahce initially by agents but Galatasaray acted first and launched official talks with Everton for the striker who scored ten goals in 21 games in all competitions last season before his injury.

Onyekuru has five international caps to his name.
