The Oyo State House of Assembly has called for the provision for palliative measures on some of the road projects under construction in the state capital.

The call was made by Hon. Joshua Oyebamiji, representing Akinyele I State constituency, under matter of urgent pubic importance during the plenary held on the 31st of July.

Hon Oyebamiji observed that movement on some of these roads have become more difficult for motorists due to abandonment of the ongoing project, thereby causing traffic jam at most times.

Oyebamiji, however, commended the State government for its efforts at making life pleasurable for residents.

The House through its Speaker, Rt Hon Olagunju Ojo directed its Committee on Works and Transport to liaise with the Ministry on the matter and report to the house within two weeks.

During the same plenary, there was a slight adjustment to the committee composition made by Mr Speaker, to accommodate the new members in the house.
