Following the recent declaration of Shina Peller, the King of night life in Nigeria’s entertainment industry to grab a seat at the House of Representatives, several entertainment personalities have pledged to give him their full support.
Speaking about the ambition of the Quilux and Aquilla records boss, his cousin and legendary singer Sound Sultan has described Shina Peller’s intention to run as one of the best things to happen in the entertainment industry and to the entire youths in Nigeria.
”I believe if he emerges as a member of the House of Representatives he can help with different bills that will strengthen the entertainment world especially the music industry.
“The challenge of piracy is one of the major issues affecting the Nigerian music industry and we believe if we have entertainment personalities as members of the legislative chamber, there may be solution to this worrisome issue affecting entertainers.
“It is very unfortunate to see many artists living in poverty despite their efforts to come up with good music, someone somewhere will just pirate their song and start making money through their efforts without any compensation,”he stated.
Popular Dj Jimmy Jatt, on the other hand praised the son of the late reknown magician for his good intention towards the good people of Oke- Ogun. He then called on the people of the zone to support him by giving him their support and vote for him.
”I know he is not a selfish type, he has good plans because he is a man with flourishing ideas. He always thinks of others, he is a youth and he has been helping youths without even holding any political post and I believe he can do more if he emerges as a member of the lower chamber at the federal level.”
Another top entertainer, ‘Buchi’ also added his voice, as he described Shina Peller as one of the good examples for youths. He maintained that apart from being a worthy ambassador for the youths, he is making Nigeria proud globally in the entertainment sector.
Meanwhile Shina Peller is one the aspirants jostling for the ticket of Iseyin/Iwajowa/Irewolede Federal constituency under the platform of the ruling party, All Progressive Congress in Oyo- State.
