Nigeria’s sole surviving team in Continental football, Enyimba will face Rayon Sports of Rwanda in the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The draw for the knockout stages of the competition as well as the CAF Champions League took place at the CAF headquarters on Monday.
The first leg will take place at the Stade Régional Nyamirambo, Kigali on September 16th, while the reverse fixture will be staged at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba on September 23rd.
The two-time African champions beat Congo’s CARA Brazzaville 1-0 in their last group game to finish as Group C winners.
Rayon Sports finished as Group D runners-up.
Should they qualify on aggregate, the Peoples Elephant will face the winner between CARA Brazzaville and Raja Casablanca for a chance to compete in the two-legged final.
The Peoples Elephant are looking to become the first Nigerian club to win the CAF Confederation Cup.
