The gubernatorial ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State has been officially given out to Senator Olufemi Lanlehin at last.
PMParrot can authoritatively confirm that he was handed the ticket sometime after 6 pm on Wednesday evening after a particularly hectic session.
The delay in the announcement of the gubernatorial candidate of the party was caused by the inability of the four ‘strong men’ running the party to agree on choice of candidate.
An independent source informed PMParrot that Chief Olayiwola Olakojo, Chief Michael Koleoso, Dr Busari Adebisi and Senator Rashidi Ladoja had different candidates in mind.
Said our source “Chief Michael Koleoso and Senator Rashidi Ladoja were all along rooting for Senator Olufemi Lanlehin while Dr Adebisi had Dr Balogun as his candidate while Chief Olakojo was thinking of somebody else.
“We thank God that we have been able to resolve everything and we are good to go. I plead with all party members to cooperate so that we can all achieve success.”
