Ogun Assembly Commences Monitoring Of 2018 Budget Performance Monday

In consonance with Sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (As Amended), the Ogun State House of Assembly will on Monday, October 22, 2018 commence the monitoring of the year 2018 Budget Performance to the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government as well as Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) in the State.

The annual exercise, according to a statement signed by the Clerk of the House, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu is part of the oversight functions of the Legislative Arm of Government meant to ascertain the level of compliance by all the MDAs of Government including the Local Government Councils and LCDAs at ensuring effective and efficient service delivery in line with the rebuilding mission of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led- administration in the State.

The programme which will commence on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 9:00am each day will end on November 19, 2018.

The statement therefore enjoined all Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government, Local Government Councils and LCDAs to make available relevant documents and information to ensure the success of the exercise.
