Our Constituency Projects Are In Line With Community’s Demands – Ogun Speaker

The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly,  Rt. Hon. Suraju Ishola Adekunbi has submitted that the basic needs assessment of the people of his constituency was considered before facilitating the construction of constituency projects for the benefit of his constituents.

The Speaker, who disclosed in an interview shortly after laying the foundation of a block of three classrooms with offices and store at the  Army Children Primary School, Idagba Ayetoro, in Yewa North Local Government Area of the State explained that needs assessment played pivotal role in the actualization of projects and programmes that would have direct impact on the lives of the people.

Adekunbi explained that the projects was part of his electioneering promises, assuring that the project upon completion would complement the affordable and qualitative education programmes of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led-administrations in the school which was established in 1977.

He noted that efficient education could only take place in a conducive environment, saying that the projects which would be completed within the next one month would go a long way at enhancing teaching and learning in the school.

Thanking the people for their continued support to the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administration, the Speaker, clarified that as legislators, the core duties of lawmakers remained law making, appropriation of funds and oversight towards strengthening democratic practices in the State, stressing that the mutual interdependence among the three arms of government had resulted in the monumental transformation being witnessed in all parts of the State.

Responding, the State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Modupe Mujota represented by the Zonal Educstion Officer, Yewa North Local Government,  Mr Lawal Adebola and the Head teacher, Army Children Primary School, Mrs Bello Elizabeth and  Baale of Idagba Community, Chief Amos Odeyemi tatives, lauded the  Speaker for choosing the school for the project, which they noted would further encourage the teachers and pupils for effective teaching and  learning process.
