17 Years After: Nigerians Prepare To Celebrate, Honour Bola Ige

The 2018 edition of the annual memorial symposium organized by the Bola lge Centre for Justice to celebrate the late statesman holds on December 18.

This year’s edition, which is the 17th has a theme, “Reclaiming the Six South West States by the Progressives, 15th year after PDP Tsunami: Nigerians must be once bitten, twice shy” will be delivered by Dr Wale Okediran and Mr Dare Babarinsa on Tuesday 18 December, 2018 by 10am prompt, at the Banquet Hall of Lagos Airport Hotel

According to a statement from the spokesperson of the Centre, Comrade Awa Bamiji, the Keynote address will be delivered by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Said Bamiji “the Chairman of the occasion is a prominent politician in Lagos State and chieftain of Afenifere, Prince Tajudeen Olusi.

“President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, is expected to be the Special Guest Honour while Guests of Honour are Mr Babajide Sanwoolu, Mr Bayo Adelabu and Mr Dapo Abiodun, the APC Governorship Candidates in Lagos, Oyo and Ogun States respectively.

“The APC National Vice Chairman, South West Zone, Pastor Bankole Oluwajana and Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District, Oluremi Tinubu are father and mother of the day respectively

“The Chief Host is Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, the Executive Governor of Lagos State. Hosts are family members of the Late Chief Bola lge, led by Mrs Funso Adegbola (Nee Ige) and Architect Muyiwa lge”.

Awa Bamiji also added that “the event is dedicated to June 12, which is now the Nigeria’s Democracy day.”
