The gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde has expressed appreciation to all those who made the Thursday rally held in Ibadan by the party for its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to be successful.
The massive attendance recorded, he said, was a pointer to the popularity of the party’s candidates in the South West particularly Engr Seyi Makinde and its presidential flagbearer, Alhaji Atiku.
He also used the opportunity to warn the ruling party in the state, the All Progressives Congres (APC) to desist from attempts to lure voters into releasing their voters cards to government agents.
In a release from his Campaign Organisation and signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the PDP flagbearer said the plot will not succeed because the people have seen through the desperation of the ruling party.
Makinde said that the APC will equally fail in its connivance with Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency to frustrate attempts to install billboards belonging to the opposition in the state.
According to the statement, the imprint of Engr Seyi Makinde is in the minds of the people and they will give him resounding victory during the March 2, gubernatorial election next year.
