As the contest for seats in the Oyo State House of Assembly gathers momentum, a candidate seeking to represent Afijio State Constituency, Barr. Seyi Adisa, has concluded plans to launch his campaign officially on Sunday.
The aspiring lawmaker, in a press statement from his media office, enjoined his lovers in the entire local government to troop out enmasse to show their support as he launches his campaign fully at Ilora Grammar School, Afijio Local Government area.
Tagged ‘Eje ka Seyi Concert,’ Barr. Adisa, who is the Principal Private Secretary to Governor Abiola Ajimobi and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, further urged residents of the town to get more involved in politics and the next level of unprecedented development in the area.
“I’m proud to be an indigene of this great town and I will continuously play my role in the progress and development of it. My interest to serve is borne out of this thought.”
“Our concept of ‘E je ka Seyi’ is wrapped around this, that, we all, Awe indigenes both here and in the Diaspora, need to bring hands and heads together to make Awe and Afijio that home we are continuously proud of.” Barr. Adisa enthused.
He disclosed that the collective interest and well-being of the people in the area would form the nucleus of his representation, noting that he would never betray the confidence reposed in him by the electorates if given the opportunity to serve them.
“I want to serve my people and entire local government to give them direction and build a solid political mind-set through a quality law making so that they can stand on their feet.
“My people suffer because no one with true intention of changing their misfortune has been at the helm of affairs in the House of Assembly to represent them. I want to lead my people to the path of progress, development and inculcate in them true zeal of patriotism. I will teach my people how to fish, make wine and merry in place of political rascality.”
“I believe in going to the grassroots and there was never a time that my people have not shown me love judging from my proven humanitarian attachment to them. I am a man of the people with heart for service.”
According to him: “My party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has all the ingredients to win the election.”
“APC is the only political party in the country as of today that is stable, that has a guiding manifesto and their internal democracy is unbeatable.”
“I have demonstrated my sincere love to the people of my constituency at a lager extent by my patriotic contributions towards the development of the area.”
“Therefore, if our electorates are very sincere and honestly desire a true representation, they should not look elsewhere no matter the distraction,” he urged.
Barr. Adisa, then, used the opportunity to express appreciation to his supporters for the outpour of love he has received and is still receiving so far from his people in Awe and the entire Afijio Local Government.
