Foremost juju musician, Taiwo Omotunde has revealed that he is aimed at re-positioning juju music on the minds of the general public.
He made the revelation at the official launch of his 15th album, Elevation held at Mauve 21 Event centre Ring Road, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State recently.
He said his aim when he ventured into juju music was to re-orientate the populace on the need to accept juju music through the kind of productions he released on regular basis.
Omotunde who ventured into juju music after several years in the banking industry said Nigerian musicians are improving by the day, but still needing to improve on their acts to make the people further patronise them.
The banker turned musician who recently became the governor of the Oyo State chapter of the Performing Musician Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) stressed that success comes when the right things are done on one’s projects.
With so much experience in the industry, the PMAN Governor urged musicians to be more creative so as to empower themselves and the industry as a whole.
The venue of the event was filled to capacity with fans of Omotunde and array of high profile personalities in attendance.
The album listening session had in attendance top shots from the Nigerian entertainment industry. Attendees included popular figures such as former Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Professor Tunde Adeniran, Ambassador Yemi Farounbi, President of Gospel Musician Association of Nigera (GOMAN), Evangelist Funmi Aragbaye, former president of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) Yemi Sonde among several high personalities graced the occasion.
Members of the various sections of the music body (PMAN) were also in attendance to celebrate the success of their Governor.
It was a moment of self fulfillment and actualisation for the vibrant and dynamic super musician as guests at the programme celebrated him.
Highlight of the occasion was the official launch of the album into the music scene after which Omotunde mounted the stage to dazzle his guests with good music.
