The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress(ADC) in Oyo State, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin has revealed that the former governor of the state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja remains his father and leader despite dumping the party for Zenith Labour Party, ZLP.

Lanlehin, who spoke in Ibadan on Wednesday at a press conference, said “nobody has abandoned anybody stressing that what happens in politics is a pyramid and 95 per cent of the members remain in the party,

“We had a little disagreement in our party, but it has been largely resolved. Let me affirm to you that Alhaji Saheed Alaran from Iseyin remains the deputy governorship candidate.

The former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria   posited that people are tired of the policies and programmes of the APC administration in the state.

“Whatever I become, I still have my head and feet with my people. I grew up and schooled in this state and I know things must change for the better.”

“The inner cities like Igboora, Igangan to mention a few are in decay.

“These towns and some others don’t feel the existence of government. We have the likes of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, late Chief Bola Ige, late Alhaji Lam Adesina and Rashidi Ladoja who have led the state impactfully.

“It is painful when we see people wake up every morning without any work to do to sustain their livelihood. We will bring back technical schools to train our people in certain vocations.

“This would be another way of tackling unemployment by our administration if elected. I am interested in leaving a worthy legacy in the state,” he said.

The ADC governorship candidate was also once elected as a member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency between 1992 and  1993 and later appointed the Commissioner for Special Duties as well as Special Adviser in the Bola Tinubu administration.
