The Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Muktar Ladi Abimbola has called on Christians in the state to use the period of Christmas to preach and show love among themselves and others from other faiths.
The Chief Judge gave the advice during the 2018 and 7th Judiciary Christian Fellowship Christmas carol and Service of Song held at the High Court of Justice, Ring Road, Ibadan titled ‘‘God in the Manger.”
Speaking on behalf of the Chief Judge, Hon Justice Aderonke Aderemi described Christmas as a period of love, care and sharing of gifts among fellow Christians, stating that it is the period when God gave us His only begotten son, Jesus.
Justice Abimbola, while advising members of the Oyo State Judiciary, in particular members of the Christian Fellowship to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ by always showing love and care to people around them, said that it is the best way to identify a good Christian.
He used the opportunity to pray for Nigeria, Oyo State, Oyo State Judiciary as well as the entire members for greater height and wish them a merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance.
The President of the Appeal Court, Justice Eni Esan, who was also the Special Mother of the Day thanked all the executive members of the Oyo State Judiciary Christian fellowship for organizing a befitting event.
She urged them to keep the flag flying as the blessing of God continues to shine on them. Justice Esan also wished them a blissful Christian celebration in advance.
Prophet Ayorinde Oyewumi in his massage, described the birth of Jesus Christ as a total submission and humility to God, noting that “God had the power to allow Jesus Christ to be born to an influential family but He decided to bless Mary with Jesus”.
Prophet Ayorinde, while preaching from Luke 2:7 on the topic “God In The Manger’’ expressed that the wish of God towards mankind is “great love and care”.
However, he advised all Christians to show love, live in peace and support the people around them.
