The family of late Pa George Akande Oketikun of Ile Olukotun Agbagbari, Ilora, Oyo State has announced the burial plans they have put together for their patron, Pa Deacon Stephen Kofoworola Oketikun who died recently at the age of 95.
Yinka Oketikun, one of the children of Pa Deacon Stephen Kofoworola Oketikun informed PMParrot that the late devout Christian will begin his last journey on Thursday, January 10, 2019.
Said the London-based Yinka Oketikun “We will host a Christian ‘Wake Keep’ for him at his residence, Oketikun Lodge, Oketikun Street, Oke Gege, Ilora on Thursday, January 10, 2019. It starts by 4pm.
“And on Friday, January 11, the funeral service will hold at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Fojubaye, Ilora by 10 am. Interment will take place by God’s grace at Oketikun Lodge, our late father’s residence. Our guests will be entertained afterwards at the popular Labanba Hotels in Oyo Town.”
While praying for the safety of all guests coming for the event, Yinka Oketikun expressed appreciation to all family members and friends who have identified with the deceased’s immediate family.
“We are grateful to all those who have been celebrating our late father with us. Yes, we are celebrating him because he was a decent, sincere and very kind man. All our guests will have a good time. May God bless all in the new year 2019.”
Pa Deacon Stephen Kofoworola Oketikun is survived by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
