The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC ) in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has pledged to make the state better if voted into power at the 2019 general elections.
Chief Adebayo Adelabu made this statement during a meeting with the leadership of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Oyo State held at the union’s headquarters at Challenge, Ibadan.
He stressed that he has many plans in place to bring more developments to the state that would bring economics prosperity. He also revealed his plans to put in place good transportation management system.
He emphasized that in order to ensure effective administration; he is ready to support local government autonomy if they are ready to be accountable and responsible to the people.
Chief Adelabu, while speaking on salary payment, promised that he will as at when due pay salaries and pension of civil servants and retirees in the state. He added that he has never owed his staff in his private capacity and will not owe when he becomes governor.
Chief Adelabu commended Governor Abiola Ajimobi for his effort and role in his political journey, adding that he will forever be grateful to him.
The Agbaakin Parakoyi Olubadan of Ibadan land also emphasized that his administration will not provide only free education, but also qualitative education for the students in the state.
