Rasheedat Ajibade, Super Falcons’ top player is optimistic of better days in her new Norwegian club Avaldsnes IL.

Ajibade, who is in China with the national team for an invitational tournament, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja prior to her departure that she was hopeful of developing herself in Europe.

The 19-year-old signed a two year deal with the club in December and is expected to resume ahead of the Toppserien league (the first tier of Norwegian women’s football) in March.

“I am very grateful to God, it is a dream come true,’’ the Nigerian female football freestyle champion said as she sees her nine year stay in FC Robo Queens come to a halt.

“African football is different from that of Europe; the exposure, tactics and experience is different. It is a huge opportunity for me to learn and develop myself.

“I will definitely do my best and be hopeful that subsequent opportunities present itself afterwards,’’ she said.

Nigeria would face China Thursday in the four day invitational tourney before facing Romania and Korea Republic, all in build up ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in June.
