Ibadan’s darling football club, Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, will clash with Osun United Football club in a friendly tie ahead of the commencement of the 2018/2019 Bet9ja Nigeria National League season.
In addition to this, Osun United also has five other friendly games lined up.
To kick-start preparations, the team will play NNL sides 3SC and Crown, as well as, Nationwide League One side, Wasiu Alabelewe FC, in a home-and-away format.
The Media Officer of the club, Tunde Shamsudeen, said the friendly matches would enable the team’s coach, Samson Unuanel, to assess his players in a competitive game situation against quality opposition.
He said the quest to secure a place for Osun United in the Nigeria Professional Football League was being approached with seriousness.
Giving details of the fixtures, Shamsudeen said the Omoluabi Giants would play away to Crown on Wednesday at the Soun Township Stadium, Ogbomoso.
On Friday, Osun United will make a trip to Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan to take on 3SC and host the newly-promoted NLO Division One side, Alabelewe at the Osogbo Township Stadium on Tuesday February 5. The match was scheduled for 4.pm.
