Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr Bimbo Kolade has attributed the high level of peace between his ministry and traditional rulers in the state to the working understanding and laid down policies of government between the duo.
He stated this while speaking with PMParrot in his office recently in Ibadan the Oyo State capital.
He posited that constant and regular interaction with the monarchs facilitated the mutual peace stressing that they are properly positioned to promote peace and harmony in line with government policies.
“We encourage them to move in line with government policies such that it will promote peace and development in their respective domains.”
Kolade while commending the quality leadership of Governor Abiola Ajimobi on the development of the traditional system in the state revealed that government is committed to the wellbeing of the traditional rulers, hence, his commitment at ensuring peace and development in the system.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters who has just been appointed Federal Commissioner, Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), maintained that the mutual understanding between traditional rulers and Governor Ajimobi would continue to advance the course of the system, adding that the governor holds them in high esteem.
