Despite Polls’ Shift, Oyo CNPP Insists INEC Must Be Fair To All

Despite the postponement of last Saturday’s elections, the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP), Oyo State Chapter has insisted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state must remain neutral in the conduct and that no form of rigging and election maneuvering should be encouraged by the electoral body.

This was contained in a press statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan over the weekend by the Oyo State and South West Chairman of the Conference, Alhaji Yinka Olona.

Alhaji Yinka Olona commended the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Mutiu Agboke for some of his voters education strategies aim at educating and informing Oyo voters on the forthcoming elections.

In order to ensure peaceful elections in Oyo state and Nigeria this next Saturday, Alh. Yinka Olona advised all agencies entrusted with the responsibilities in the election to be neutral and unbiased.
