PDP Tells Nigerians To Protect Their Votes, Closes Presidential Campaign

The main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the closure of all forms of campaigns for the February 23, 2019 Presidential election.

According to a statement made available to PMParrot from the office of the party’s spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan on Thursday, “all campaign  should end at midnight today, Thursday, in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act.

Ologbondiyan spoke further “The PDP expresses gratitude to all Nigerians for their solidarity with the people’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and urges them to protect their votes.

“By this statement, the PDP henceforth no longer authorizes any campaign material under any form whatsoever for our party or our candidate for the February 23 Presidential election”.
