Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has re-stated his commitment to giving a free and qualitative basic education in both primary and secondary schools in the state once he is voted in as the Governor.
The Agbaakin Parakoyi of Ibadanland made this known on Wednesday when he appeared on a radio programme at Lagelu FM 96.7 anchored by Otunba Kola Olootu.
According to him, “my government shall abolish the payment of one thousand naira (#1,000) school fees being paid by students in secondary schools. Primary and Secondary education shall be totally free”.
On tertiary education, he assured students in tertiary institutions of making academic environment more conducive for learning.
Hear the gubernatorial candidate “Workers in tertiary institutions shall have their glories restored as there shall be no fractional salaries on my assumption of office. All hands shall be put on deck to improve the infrastructures in all the six tertiary institutions in the state”, he said.
The former CBN Deputy Governor said “the time is now to join hands by the entire citizenry to keep Oyo State in the mainstream. The benefits are enormous and the state has him to lead the incremental development network plan. We must not loose the opportunity we have as God has answered our prayers with President Muhammadu Buhari at the centre”.
He submitted by finally calling on the people of Oyo State to vote him in as the Governor of the Pace-Setting State on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
