The Kwara State Government under Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has expressed sympathy to the people of Offa Community in Offa Local Government Area of the State over the recent rainstorm that destroyed buildings in the town.
The Special Adviser on Emergency Management and Relief Services, Alhaji Rasaq Akanbi Jimoh who was on an on-the-spot assessment to ascertain the extent of damage caused by the rainstorm in the community, prayed against a reoccurrence and assured the people that the State Government is putting necessary measures in place to assist victims.
Responding on behalf of the Community, Honorable Sesan Agboola of the Offa Descendant Union, (ODU) who conducted the Government team to the affected areas, thanked the State Government for the prompt response and promised that the people of the area would continue their support for the Abdulfatah Ahmed-led Administration.
Areas affected by the rainstorm include St. Thomas LGEA School, Offa Grammar School, Ijakadi Shopping Mall, Awudere Street, Ijaodola Street, and other areas.
